Application Form

Please submit the following form to apply for the Creative Minds Early Childhood Education Certificate Program.

The application form must be completed and submitted to the Creative Minds Early Childhood Education Certificate Program administrator at least one week before the first day of class.

A non-refundable application fee of $100 is required. Once your application has been received, the Program administrator will be in touch regarding payment.

You must meet all of the following requirements to apply:*
At least 19 years of age.A Criminal Records Check detailing no relevant criminal record.Three letters of reference affirming the applicant's good character and aptitude for working in the education of young children.A certified high school diploma or equivalent.

English Language Proficiency - please select one:*
Grades from English Language Proficiency Tests if taken (TOEFL Reading. Score 4-17, Listening. Score 9-16, Speaking. Score 10-15, Writing. Score 7-12 OR IELTS overall band score of 5 OR CAEL Overall band score 45).Grade 11 or equivalent English score of C+.Portfolio and Interview demonstrating reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Portfolio will demonstrate that the applicant has an ability to complete observations of children's development, communicate with families of children in child care, and have an understanding of the BC Child Care Act and Licensing Regulations. The portfolio may include letters from supervisors and employers in child care in support of the application, photos and writing demonstrating significant work experience, and evidence that the applicant has a beginning understanding of and ability to produce "pedagogical documentation".
